Technical Buyer (gn) Shipbuilding in Hamburg
Do you feel at home in the maritime environment and want to drive procurement not just operationally, but strategically? In this position as a Technical Buyer (gn) in shipbuilding in Hamburg, you will take cross-location responsibility for your product groups. With a lot of creative freedom, close interfaces to engineering and project management, as well as the possibility of partial remote work.
Your tasks:
- You are responsible for your product groups in shipbuilding across locations and develop tailor-made procurement strategies for them
- Together with the demand holders, you carry out detailed needs analyses and translate technical requirements into clear procurement specifications
- You analyze national and international procurement markets, consider Global Sourcing, and identify suitable suppliers for complex shipbuilding components
- You conduct tenders, create offer comparisons according to "Total Cost of Ownership" criteria, and derive opportunities and risks from them
- You negotiate prices, conditions, and framework agreements in coordination with interface partners, select strategic key suppliers, and design contracts to match the sales contracts
- You take responsibility for supplier management in the cross-functional team, support claim management, and provide all relevant key figures for meaningful procurement controlling
This is how you are best prepared:
- You bring a strong technical understanding, ideally with reference to shipbuilding, plant engineering, or comparable industrial environments
- You possess very good IT skills (especially SAP, LN, MS Office, and internet-based applications) and apply them confidently in everyday work
- You have a completed university or technical college degree or a comparable qualification, as well as several years of relevant professional experience in technical procurement
- You communicate clearly, enjoy working in a team, and drive topics forward with high initiative and assertiveness
- You possess strong organizational skills, social competence, and maintain an overview even in complex projects
- You have knowledge of contract law, appear confident, represent the company professionally, and communicate with international suppliers with business fluency in English, both spoken and written
