The Passenger Service Agent is responsible for offering quality service, support, and assistance to passengers. This professional acts as the main point of contact between the company and customers, dealing with a variety of situations and offering fast and effective solutions. The main objective is to ensure passenger satisfaction and contribute to a smooth and efficient travel experience. This is an exclusive vacancy for Manaus Airport (MAO)!

Responsibilities and duties

  • Execute operational activities in the areas of shop, check-in, operational dispatch, departures, arrivals, and baggage;
  • Receive and welcome passengers, providing courteous and professional service;
  • Provide information regarding schedules, itineraries, client companies' policies, and boarding and disembarking procedures;
  • Help resolve passenger issues and complaints in an efficient and friendly manner;
  • Check travel documents, tickets, and identification to ensure everything is in compliance with the current policies and regulations of the client companies;
  • Offer support to passengers with special needs, such as people with disabilities, the elderly, and families with children;
  • Manage the boarding and disembarking process, ensuring that all operations are carried out in a safe and organized manner;
  • Maintain constant communication with the operations team and other areas to ensure effective coordination and problem resolution;
  • Maintain accurate records of passenger interactions and daily operations, as necessary;

Requirements and qualifications

  • High school diploma completed; Higher education is a plus
  • English from intermediate level onwards;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations, empathy, patience, and a good disposition to work in a team;
  • Availability to work on a shift schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Regarding physical aspects, gross and fine motor coordination, dexterity, articulation of upper and lower limbs, variable posture for the development of activities, rotation and flexion of the trunk, and sporadic physical effort to assist in carrying suitcases and removing items from the aircraft, as well as locomotion and walking throughout the entire airport and driving the vehicle for internal customer transport, are required.

Regarding sensory aspects, visual acuity is required for driving a vehicle in service of the company (activity regulated by the CTB – Brazilian Traffic Code), document analysis and customer support, and auditory perception for telephone service and for customers, suppliers, and collaborators, and detection of emergency sound signals in operational areas.

Regarding neuropsychic aspects, attention, concentration, organizational skill, creativity, data interpretation, and initiative for solving causal situations are required.
