The planning department manages the long-term and short-term planning of permanent and agency staff for cargo, passenger, and ramp operations at Schiphol.
Purpose of the function The Workforce Planner contributes to a stable, predictable, and compliant deployment of personnel within the cargo, passenger, and ramp operations of dnata Netherlands. The function exists to ensure that personnel capacity, qualifications, and deployment moments structurally align with operational demand, within legal frameworks and internal agreements. The role makes a direct contribution to the continuity of operations, cost control, and the professionalization of the planning process in an environment with high volumes and varying workloads.
What will you do? Drafting, managing, and publishing high-quality rosters based on forecast, capacity planning, and applicable scheduling policies
Monitoring compliance with the Arbeidstijdenwet, CAO, and dnata agreements within scheduling and deployment
Coordinating and processing mutations, leave, availability, and short-term changes
Aligning with operations, duty management, and supporting departments regarding daily schedules and staffing
Identifying shortages, surpluses, and structural patterns in deployment and capacity
Facilitating correct hour accounting and contributing to monthly closing
Managing and monitoring qualifications in relation to employability
Contributing to quality control, process improvement, and error reduction within the planning process
Acting as the first point of contact for planning-related questions from operations and employees
Required experience and profile MBO 4 or HBO working and thinking level, preferably in a business administration or administrative direction
1–3 years of relevant work experience in personnel planning or a similar operational environment
Experience with stakeholder alignment in a dynamic context
Demonstrable knowledge of the Arbeidstijdenwet and preferably CAO agreements
Analytically strong, accurate, and able to maintain an overview under time pressure
Experience with planning systems; knowledge of Ortec OWS is a plus
Good command of the Dutch language; English language proficiency is required within the organizational context
Affinity with and preferably experience within the aviation or logistics sector
