Cost Control Engineer
Prepare and update direct and indirect budget analyses, including the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and budget lines for ERP upload.
Review and validate daily material withdrawals, petty cash allocations, and casual labor salaries to ensure accurate cost coding and classification.
Review labor and equipment invoices on a biweekly basis, validating progress and interim payment certificate (IPC) values.
Conduct monthly analyses of direct and indirect actual costs and share findings with project managers.
Compile monthly waste material data and coordinate with the Technical Office and warehouse teams to verify its accuracy.
Participate in UCV meetings to review contract value updates, including variation orders, additions and omissions, price changes, and QS updates. Reflect approved changes in budgets and cost reports.
Prepare quarterly cost reports covering updated budgets, allocated actual costs, resource rates, indirect Estimate to Complete (ETC), and key metrics such as EV, CPI, EAC, and GP.
Update the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) quarterly using planning inputs; track monthly revenue and cost targets against actual performance and highlight variances.
Update the quarterly Project Cost Dashboard, including AOP, CPI, UCV, waste performance, under-billing, and other key indicators.
Prepare reports requested by the Project Manager and perform other duties related to the role as assigned by the direct or Technical Manager.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering ; Civil Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
2–5 years of relevant experience , preferably in construction or urban planning projects.
Knowledge of cost control, cost management, budgeting, and project control processes.
Experience with cost analysis, cost reporting, and budget monitoring.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to review project cost data and communicate findings clearly.
Proficiency in relevant cost and project management software.
