Case Maker / Specialist Packer Salary: £30,000–£40,000 per annum DOE & Neg + overtime Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm Benefits: Bonus, healthcare, overtime opportunities, flex employer Location: Colnbrook, SL3 Our client is looking for an experienced Case Maker / Specialist Packer to join their busy packing and logistics operation. There is more than 1 opportunity available. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced packer or case maker who is confident working with high-value, fragile, heavy, specialist and dangerous goods and understands the importance of ensuring items are properly protected and secured for transportation. The Role You will be responsible for manufacturing bespoke timber cases and crates and safely packing a wide range of goods for domestic and international shipment. Your responsibilities will include: Manufacturing timber cases, crates, skids and pallets to specification. Measuring, cutting and assembling timber using hand and power tools. Packing high-value, fragile and specialist equipment. Preparing goods for road, air and sea freight. Securing items using blocking, bracing, strapping and protective materials. Packing and preparing dangerous goods in accordance with the relevant requirements and company procedures. Applying appropriate shipping and handling marks. Working from drawings, dimensions and packing instructions. Carrying out final quality checks before dispatch. Safely handling heavy and awkward items using appropriate equipment. Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment. Completing relevant packing and dispatch documentation. About You We are looking for someone with practical, hands-on experience in case making, export packing, industrial packing or specialist packing . You should have: Proven experience manufacturing wooden cases or crates. Experience packing high-value or sensitive equipment. Experience handling heavy, fragile or awkward items. Good practical skills with hand and power tools. Excellent attention to detail. A strong understanding of safe working practices. The ability to work accurately from measurements, drawings and instructions. A reliable and responsible approach to your work. Experience with dangerous goods, export packing, ISPM 15 timber packaging, air/sea freight and forklift operation would be highly advantageous, but not essential as training can be provided. What We Offer £30,000–£40,000 basic salary , depending on experience & Neg Overtime available and paid in addition to basic salary. Monday–Friday working hours, 8:00am–5:00pm .
