NEW OPPORTUNITY ALERT | SENIOR CREDIT CONTROLLER | CASTLE DONINGTON | PERMANENT | HYBRID Ready for your next Credit Control move? One where you can take ownership of complex accounts, use your commercial judgement and bring your experience to a team that will value it?

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller who enjoys problem-solving, managing larger balances and getting to the bottom of issues, rather than simply chasing debt.

WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY STANDS OUT Real ownership: Take responsibility for your own portfolio across multiple ledgers, with accountability for collection activity and outcomes.

More than routine debt chasing: Manage large-value and complex accounts, investigate queries and resolve issues using your experience and judgement.

Opportunity to influence: Help identify practical process improvements and resolve recurring issues across the Finance function.

Wider business exposure: Work across multiple entities and customer accounts within an international business.

Team contribution: Share your knowledge, support colleagues and provide experienced support within the Credit function.

Variety: A hands-on mix of cash collection, credit risk, reconciliations, account management and stakeholder relationships.

THE ROLE WILL INVOLVE

  • Managing a portfolio of large-value and complex customer accounts.
  • Proactively driving cash collection and reducing overdue debt.
  • Investigating queries, deductions, discrepancies and barriers to payment.
  • Managing customer relationships, including difficult conversations and payment commitments.
  • Maintaining accurate ledgers, reconciling accounts and monitoring credit risk.
  • Reviewing credit limits, managing credit holds and escalating risks where appropriate.
  • Helping resolve practical system queries, including some EDI invoicing issues.
  • Identifying process improvements, sharing knowledge and supporting junior colleagues where appropriate.

Requirements

  • An experienced Credit Control professional who is confident managing complex accounts, multiple ledgers and challenging queries.
  • You will bring:
  • Strong Credit Control experience and a track record of managing debt effectively.
  • Tenacity, initiative and a target-driven approach.
  • Confidence dealing with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Good Excel and finance systems skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Experience with EDI invoicing, modern ERP systems, high-volume accounts or supporting colleagues would be particularly beneficial. CICM or relevant credit management training is also welcomed.

How to apply

If you are an experienced Credit Controller looking for a role where you can take ownership, use your judgement and make a practical difference beyond your own ledger, I would love to hear from you.
