International Accounting Accountant (m/f/d)

For our client, a renowned company in the mechanical engineering industry in Sankt Augustin, we are looking for a dedicated International Accounting Accountant (m/f/d) in full-time starting immediately.

The entry is via temporary employment with a permanent contract at DIS AG – a later takeover into the client company is expressly intended.

Your Tasks

• Preparation and auditing of annual and consolidated financial statements according to national and international accounting standards (e.g., HGB, IFRS, or US GAAP)
• Analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts as well as performing account reconciliations
• Coordination and communication with auditors, tax advisors, and international affiliates
• Participation in the further development and optimization of financial processes and internal control systems
• Support in group reporting as well as preparation of ad-hoc analyses and reports for management
• Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal guidelines in accounting
• Monitoring and documentation of booking processes as well as valuation of business transactions
• Implementation of special projects in the area of accounting and controlling

Your Profile

• Completed commercial training, ideally with further training as a Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in the field of accounting and financial reporting, especially according to national and international standards
• Sound knowledge in the preparation of annual and consolidated financial statements
• Confident handling of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and MS Office applications
• Very good analytical skills as well as a structured and precise way of working
• Strong communication skills and team orientation, even in an international environment
• Very good English skills in speaking and writing
• High level of initiative, sense of responsibility, and discretion
