Senior Buyer (m/f/d) (Buyer)

Develop suppliers, identify risks early, and remain capable of action even when the supply chain comes under pressure.

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a strategic Buyer (m/f/d) within the framework of personnel recruitment, who will independently manage international supplier relationships and further develop their product group with an entrepreneurial perspective. This position is to be filled within the framework of direct placement / within the framework of personnel recruitment.

Category Manager Purchasing (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

• Strategic responsibility for product groups such as drawn parts and printed circuit boards
• Support and development of national as well as international suppliers
• Conducting price, condition, and contract negotiations
• Evaluation of suppliers as well as derivation of concrete development measures
• Active risk, escalation, and crisis management
• Market analyses, benchmarkings, and evaluation of relevant supplier KPIs
• Conducting business reviews and innovation workshops
• Initiation and accompaniment of supplier audits
• Close cooperation with local purchasing and international group purchasing

Your qualifications:

• Degree in BWL, industrial engineering, or a technical field, or a comparable training with corresponding professional experience
• Experience in strategic or international purchasing – alternatively, a background in Supply Chain or logistics is conceivable
• Practice in supplier management as well as a good technical and commercial understanding
• Secure knowledge of Incoterms
• Good knowledge of Excel, especially Pivot tables; Power BI is an advantage
• Very good English skills for international cooperation
• Willingness for occasional business trips within Europe
