Your tasks

• Planning, implementation, and operation of firewall and network security solutions including rule management, updates, hardening, and high availability
• Configuration and further development of LAN, WAN, VPN, and VLAN infrastructures as well as routing, switching, and network segmentation
• Analysis and implementation of security measures such as vulnerability management, Zero-Trust approaches, and secure network architectures
• Analysis and resolution of network and security incidents including error analysis as well as operation of monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
• Planning and implementation of network projects, e.g., site connections, VPN migrations, and infrastructure modernizations
• Creation of technical documentation as well as close cooperation with IT Security, Server Administration, and other specialist departments

Requirements

• Completed training in the IT sector or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
• Several years of experience in the administration and configuration of firewalls as well as enterprise networks
• Sound knowledge in routing, switching, VPN technologies, network protocols, and secure network architectures
• Experience with monitoring, analysis, and security tools; knowledge of vulnerability management and compliance requirements is an advantage
• Basic knowledge in PowerShell, Python, or Ansible as well as an analytical, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
• Teamwork skills, strong communication skills, hands-on mentality, high service orientation, good English skills, and willingness to undergo a security check
