Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Executive with strong knowledge of spare parts procurement to manage sourcing, purchasing, supplier relationships, and timely availability of critical spare parts and components.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in procurement within an engineering, industrial, machinery, marine, manufacturing, or similar environment , with a strong understanding of technical spare parts and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process for spare parts, components, and technical materials , from sourcing and quotation to purchase order and delivery.
  • Source spare parts from local and international suppliers based on technical and commercial requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate suitable suppliers based on quality, price, availability, lead time, and reliability .
  • Review technical specifications, part numbers, drawings, equipment information, and other relevant documentation to ensure the correct spare parts are sourced.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Warehouse, and other internal teams to understand spare parts requirements.
  • Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate pricing and commercial terms, and achieve cost-effective procurement.
  • Monitor purchase orders and follow up closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of critical spare parts .
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
  • Research alternative suppliers and equivalent/OEM-approved parts where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information, pricing, lead times, and part details.
  • Support inventory planning by monitoring stock availability, lead times, and critical spare parts requirements.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues involving quality, delivery, pricing, specifications, and documentation .
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures, approval processes, and applicable commercial requirements.
  • Support cost-saving and supplier development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline .
  • 2 years of relevant procurement experience , preferably in spare parts, technical equipment, industrial machinery, engineering, marine, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of spare parts procurement is essential.
  • Good understanding of technical components, machinery parts, equipment spares, part numbers, specifications, and OEM requirements .
  • Experience sourcing both OEM and alternative/aftermarket spare parts .
  • Strong supplier sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical specifications, drawings, catalogues, and equipment documentation.
  • Good understanding of international/local purchasing processes, shipping terms, and lead times.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement/ERP systems.
  • Able to work independently, prioritize multiple procurement requirements, and manage urgent/critical spare parts orders.
