industrial instrument mechanic

Education:

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience.

Tasks:

• Inspect operation of instruments and systems.
• Repair and adjust system components.
• Complete test and maintenance reports.
• Remove and replace defective parts.
• Calibrate components and instruments.
• Logical approach for troubleshooting.
• Determine testing and maintenance procedures.
• Install new measuring instruments.
• Coach and instruct apprentices.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work.

Work conditions and physical capabilities:

• Attention to detail.
• Hand-eye co-ordination.
• Bending, crouching, kneeling.
