Job Summary

You will manage and optimize system servers, cloud architecture, and system management tools to ensure high availability, security, and compliance. Collaborate with vendors and teams to support infrastructure projects and maintain system integrity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and deploy system servers and cloud architecture to ensure operational stability
• Develop, test, and implement procedures for system changes, backups, failover, and lifecycle management with minimal downtime
• Execute lifecycle management by timely upgrading and patching system components to maintain system performance
• Manage system access controls using identity management solutions to secure restricted systems
• Coordinate with vendors to report and replace faulty hardware components promptly
• Monitor system availability, capacity, performance, and security to detect and prevent potential intrusions
• Ensure IT compliance by aligning installation, configuration, policies, and procedures with security targets, compliance frameworks, and customer requirements
• Conduct proactive self-assessments and vulnerability scans to verify compliance and system security
• Support audit processes by collecting evidence and assisting auditors as needed
• Identify, implement, configure, and deploy cost-efficient system management tools across DLR systems and cloud services
• Serve as the primary system management expert for cloud services and infrastructure projects
• Contribute system management expertise to business and infrastructure projects, audits, and incident resolution
• Resolve system incidents within agreed SLA lead times to minimize downtime
• Provide out-of-office hours system management support as required
• Participate in after-hours on-call duty on a rotation schedule
• Travel occasionally to DLR locations as needed

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field with 5+ years of experience in an international environment
• Microsoft Certification
• VMware Virtual Certified Professional (VCP)
• Experience working in a multi-vendor environment
• Fluent in English, both written and oral
• Detailed knowledge of Microsoft systems and system management
• Detailed knowledge of storage technologies (SAN)
• Detailed knowledge of virtual machines (e.g., VMware)
• Detailed knowledge of integration technologies
• Detailed knowledge of cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills demonstrated in system management contexts
• Ability to work independently while taking responsibility for projects and seeking help when necessary
• Collaborative team player with a proactive, hands-on approach
• Organized and structured work style with strong discipline and attention to detail
• Risk awareness with the ability to assess and communicate risks effectively to stakeholders
