Systems Engineer (m/f/d) operational focus for Layered Air Defence (Engineer - Aerospace Engineering)

These are your tasks:

• You analyze customer requirements of military users of ground-based air defence systems and evaluate them with regard to our existing product portfolio and its further development.
• Furthermore, you develop concepts for technical solutions for the networking of our product portfolio with a focus on operational needs (e.g., regarding capabilities, ergonomics, established working methods).
• You translate operational demands from customers into technical requirements, which you both formulate linguistically and incorporate into a system model.
• In addition, you support the preparation of well-founded Make-or-Buy decisions and the selection of suitable subcontractors.
• Your tasks also include the supervision of subcontractors at an international level to define and coordinate functions and interfaces between systems.

This is what you bring with you:

• You have completed a successful degree in the field of an engineering science and are a former soldier (m/f/d) on a temporary or professional basis. In doing so, you have been able to acquire several years of operational experience in the use of complex weapon systems, preferably in the field of ground-based air defence.
• Specialist knowledge in the areas of military networking, Safety, or IT-Security makes you additionally interesting to us.
• Ideally, you have experience in dealing with the methods of Systems Engineering for complex systems.
• You can become enthusiastic about complex technical large-scale systems and have the ability to abstract functionally and think in complex contexts.
• Finally, you have good written and spoken English skills and are ready to apply them in an international environment.
