Project Manager (m/f/d) Air Force Systems (Project Engineer)

These are your tasks:

• In this position, you will take over the management of projects within the Air Force Systems/IRIS-T product area. The focus is on the further development or adaptation of our products to new requirements for the integration of our systems into various platforms.
• In doing so, you will coordinate the project teams regarding technical matters and supervise subcontractors at a national and/or international level.
• Furthermore, you are responsible for the timely and cost-effective implementation of orders in your area.
• Your area of responsibility also includes the management of bidding projects as well as supporting activities for the IRIS-T Block concept/capability maintenance.
• Detailed coordination with the other project managers of the guided missile family, the Logistic Support area, development, as well as national and international industry partners and clients completes your diverse field of activity.

What you bring to the role:

• A completed technical degree in the field of engineering, computer science, or aerospace engineering forms the ideal prerequisite for this position.
• Ideally, you already have several years of professional experience in the sales of military products and bring an understanding of the operational use of our systems. Knowledge of international standards for interfaces between platforms and weapon systems is an advantage.
• In addition to your enjoyment of contact with external national and international partners, you will convince us with fluent English skills in spoken and written form.
• Furthermore, you have an open personality and a high degree of communication skills, intercultural competence, and assertiveness.
• Strong initiative and willingness to travel complete your profile.
