Development Engineer (m/f/d) for the Integration and Verification of Air Defense Systems - 2 (Computer Scientist)

These are your tasks:

• As part of our "Systemlabore" team, you will support the integration and verification of IRIS-T air defense systems.
• You will contribute significantly to the setup, configuration, and operation of the reference systems, including the simulation environment, through to error analysis and troubleshooting.
• The integration of software and hardware components as well as their configuration and commissioning are also part of your tasks. A focus is placed on network components.
• Your area of responsibility also includes the creation of test and verification documents.
• Furthermore, you will participate in various integration and testing activities at the Überlingen site as well as in Röthenbach and the associated external campaigns domestically and abroad.

What you bring to the role:

• You have successfully completed your studies in the field of (technical) computer science, electrical engineering, communications engineering, or a comparable course of study.
• You have good knowledge in the field of verification and have initial experience in Requirements Engineering, including the associated tools such as DOORS NG.
• You enjoy working with hardware components and integration in a laboratory environment.
• Ideally, you also have professional experience in the area of configuring routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as their network design.
• You convince through technological understanding of various software languages and operating systems, such as Linux.
• Very good written and spoken English skills as well as a willingness to travel round off your profile.
