Development/Calculation Engineer (m/f/d) (Engineer - Mechanical Engineering)

These are your tasks:

• You create and develop innovative product concepts, partly based on a preceding feasibility analysis.
• The development of complex and innovative design solutions according to the state of the art, taking into account functional, material, and manufacturing technology as well as economic aspects, including coordination with project managers, customers, and other specialist departments, is also part of your task.
• You perform explicit simulations in the highly dynamic range with Ansys. Furthermore, you support and create FMEA, FMECA, S&R, as well as FTA.
• You are also responsible for technical consulting within the framework of design reviews, as well as for the processing and guidance for the creation of product documentation. You support the realization and testing of concepts up to series maturity, including guidance for prototype production and participation in testing functions.
• You apply project management techniques such as hazard analysis, work package planning, and controlling when processing work packages or performing design tasks, and develop concepts for the verification and validation of the designed models.

This is what you bring:

• The ideal prerequisite is a successfully completed engineering degree in the field of mechanical engineering or comparable, with several years of professional experience in a comparable role, preferably in the defense industry or precision engineering.
• You have very good knowledge of a 3D-CAD system as well as in explicit simulation with Ansys LS-Dyna or Impetus and have experience in material characterization and material modeling in the highly dynamic range.
• The calculation of explicit structural mechanics in dynamic processes of the designed parts, followed by the evaluation of the results, as well as the adaptation and development of design solutions, are easy for you.
• You are familiar with the construction and support of complex dynamic simulation models, ideally in the field of fuze technology.
• You have very good written and spoken English skills and are characterized by creativity, analytical thinking, as well as a confident manner, strength of implementation, and team spirit.
