We are recruiting an experienced Accountant to join an established accountancy practice in Greater Manchester. Whether you are a Semi-Senior, Senior or Assistant Manager, this is an opportunity to take on a varied role where your experience, personality and commercial awareness really matter.
Essential: Minimum 4 years’ recent UK accountancy practice experience.
The Role
- Prepare accounts for limited companies and unincorporated businesses.
- Complete business and personal tax returns.
- Manage a varied portfolio of clients.
- Undertake VAT, bookkeeping and management accounts, depending on experience.
- Support tax planning, statutory work and wider practice development.
- Build strong client relationships and deliver excellent service.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in UK general practice, with strong technical knowledge.
- Commercially minded, organised and detail-focused.
- Confident communicating with clients and colleagues.
- Proactive, approachable and willing to get involved.
- Comfortable managing deadlines and supporting the team during busy periods.
AAT, ACCA, ICAEW or QBE candidates are welcome. Formal qualifications are less important than practical experience and the right attitude. Study support is not the main focus of this opportunity.
