Founded in 2018, Dialogic Academy is Singapore's trusted partner for debate, public speaking, and speech & drama. We work with students aged 4 to 18 across private classes at our partner centres and in the over 40 schools we work with, helping them become critical thinkers and confident communicators. We don't just teach students what to say. We teach them how to think.

Role Overview

We're looking for several creative, nurturing Speech & Drama Instructors to teach young learners from Nursery to Primary 2 in private classes at our partner centres and at selected school programmes. These freelance roles suit educators who love working with young children and can use play, storytelling and performance to build early confidence, language and expression.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver speech & drama lessons to children from Nursery to Primary 2 in private small-group at our partner centres, using Dialogic Academy's curriculum and oracy framework.
• Guide children through storytelling, role-play, movement, rhymes, poetry recitation and simple performances.
• Build early language, listening, articulation and social skills in a playful yet structured way.
• Prepare children for showcases or performance assessments where applicable.
• Provide regular, constructive feedback to parents on their child's progress.
• Maintain a safe, well-managed and encouraging classroom where every child feels comfortable to express themselves.

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Speech & Drama, Theatre, Early Childhood Education or Education; Trinity College London or LAMDA qualifications preferred.
• Diploma/degree from NUS, LASALLE, NAFA or equivalent also considered.
• At least 1 year of experience teaching speech & drama or working with preschool and lower primary children.
• Clear, expressive spoken English and a strong command of written English.
• Registration with MOE as an Instructor/Trainer (MOE IRS) is a plus.
• Energetic, creative and patient, with a warm and engaging presence.
• Reliable, professional and able to work independently.

Engagement Details

• Engagement type: Freelance (minimum commitment of 6 months)
• Programmes: Private classes (small group)
• Work location: Dialogic Academy partner centres
• Age group: Nursery to Primary 2
• Schedule: Flexible, based on class timetables (some weekday and weekend availability expected)
• Remuneration: Competitive, commensurate with experience and qualifications
