The position:

Join a large industrial and automotive group as a Senior Data Architect to lead the evolution and optimization of a unified data platform. You will become a technical reference in data modeling, responsible for structuring, normalizing, and governing group-wide data models within an Agile environment undergoing significant digital transformation.

You will play a strategic role within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to data governance and architecture. Your mission will be to design, document, and continuously evolve the group's logical and physical data models, in alignment with an ambitious "data-driven" strategy. You will drive the adoption of modeling standards, guarantee the quality and consistency of data structures, and support product teams in realizing their analytical needs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the evolution and maintenance of the group's logical and physical data models on the unified platform, covering the complete lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring).
• Define, document, and promote modeling standards, guidelines, and best practices to the teams; establish reference models ("golden examples") and reusable patterns.
• Support product and business teams in the design and implementation of optimized data models, aligned with enterprise architecture and group standards.
• Ensure rapid and rigorous mapping between business concepts, data sources, and the logical structure, in order to accelerate the time-to-market of analytical deliverables.
• Review and integrate modifications made to models by applying strict quality controls; guarantee consistency between the model, the data glossary, and governance policies.
• Measure and report on the adoption, impact, and maturity of the data model within the group.
• Facilitate co-creation sessions with business, technical, and cross-functional stakeholders to reconcile constraints and challenges.

Profile sought:

Indispensable:

• At least 5 years of proven experience in data modeling (logical and physical), with proven expertise in normalized and denormalized models.
• Solid mastery of Teradata Vantage or an equivalent decision-making data architecture (Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.).
• Expertise in data governance, data mapping, and definition of modeling standards.
• Excellent understanding of data analysis concepts and the business impact of architectural choices.
• Proven experience in an Agile/Scrum environment, with the ability to adapt modeling processes to iterative cycles.
• Strong collaborative spirit; demonstrated ability to facilitate, convince, and unite multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders with diverging interests.
• Fluent English (spoken and written), primarily in a professional and technical context.

Strongly appreciated:

• Experience in co-creation and participatory design methodologies applied to modeling.
• Knowledge of the Teradata logical data model (mLDM) or similar enterprise modeling frameworks.
• Experience in the implementation or optimization of Data Warehouses or Data Lakes.
• Mastery of data documentation and governance tools (data catalog tools, lineage tools, etc.).
• Sensitivity to performance, scalability, and analytical query optimization challenges.
• Previous experience in the automotive or industrial sector, or in complex multi-business contexts.
• Knowledge of Data Mesh approaches or decentralized governance architecture.
