For our client, a pharmaceutical manufacturer and a market leader in the pharmaceutical industry in Central and Eastern Europe, we are looking for a person for the position: Data Analyst\BI Developer.

Daily tasks

  • Collaboration with the business and requirements analysis
  • Collaboration with business stakeholders to understand data, processes, and analytical needs in their domain and translating them into valuable analyses, reports, and business recommendations.
  • Coordinating the full lifecycle of analytical projects by conducting workshops with stakeholders, translating needs into requirements for reporting systems, and collaborating with Data Engineering teams to implement optimized data models and Power BI reports,
  • Data preparation and modeling
  • Defining and maintaining semantic data models and supporting the standardization of KPI definitions and business metrics in collaboration with Data Owners and business stakeholders,
  • Acquiring, transforming, and modeling data from various sources, in collaboration with Data Engineering teams. Ensuring the quality, consistency, and reliability of data used in reporting and analyses,
  • Designing, creating, and developing advanced semantic data models tailored to business needs and supporting the use of AI,
  • Data reporting and visualization
  • Designing, creating, and developing advanced interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI, compliant with UX/UI principles and Data Storytelling, tailored to business needs and supporting the use of AI,
  • Writing complex measures using the DAX language. Optimizing the performance of reports, SQL queries, and DAX code,
  • Security and governance
  • Managing permissions in Power BI Service, configuring Row-Level Security (RLS), and ensuring compliance with Data Governance principles,
  • Automation, optimization, and solution development
  • Supporting the development of a Self-Service BI culture by designing solutions that enable safe and efficient data use by business users,
  • Setting standards and best practices in the area of semantic data modeling and creating reports in Power BI. Mentoring and substantive support for other team members and business stakeholders regarding data analysis and BI tools.
  • Participating in projects for the development of data platforms, Business Intelligence, and initiatives related to artificial intelligence and process automation.

Requirements

Experience as a Data Analyst\BI Developer or in a related position, involving independent management of complex analytical projects from start to finish (minimum Mid/Senior level),

Advanced knowledge of SQL, including analyzing large datasets, creating and optimizing queries. Ability to draw conclusions from data and identify areas requiring improvement,

Advanced knowledge of Power BI (Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query) and designing interactive reports and dashboards. Proficiency in the DAX language, including creating complex measures and optimizing the performance of models and reports,

Practical experience in building complex semantic data models supporting the use of AI, based on business requirements, and designing solutions that support multiple uses of data,

Experience in managing data security in Power BI, specifically configuring Row-Level Security (RLS) and permissions in Power BI Service,

Ability to analyze and optimize the performance of reports and DAX code using additional tools (Tabular Editor 2, DAX Studio),

Practical experience working with Azure Data Factory,

Knowledge of the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem extending beyond Power BI, including the practical use of AI functions,

High communication skills and the ability to collaborate with different teams,

Independence in problem-solving and decision-making,

Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage priorities,

Knowledge of the English language at least at B2 level, enabling free collaboration in an international environment

Nice to have:

Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate)

Experience working with Azure Databricks,

Ability to design and build a data ontology layer in the Fabric IQ environment to unify the business terminology dictionary and improve the quality of artificial intelligence system responses
