Your Department
The Data Center Infrastructure Services (DCIS) department is responsible for the infrastructural operation of T-Systems Data Centers worldwide with the highest quality & efficiency, competitive costs, and innovative solutions. The Data Center South team is responsible for the data centers in Munich.
Your Tasks
- Technical coordination and execution of Data Center Operation tasks at the Munich DC site
- Provision of critical data center infrastructure systems, such as power supply, air conditioning, fire protection equipment, and security technology
- Coordination with the data center provider for the critical infrastructure
- Ensuring the functionality of the own technical security systems (access control system) in accordance with defined DC requirements
- Coordination with the provider for the planning, management, and control of maintenance on the data center infrastructure
- Capacity Management – calculation, planning, and documentation of data center capacities (space, power, and climate) in the existing capacity management tool in comparison with the real conditions in the data center
- Change Management – planning, preparation, and support of changes in the data center infrastructure supported by existing Change Management and Service Tools
- Incident Management – management and control of fault processing/rectification in the DC infrastructure by the operating teams and manufacturer companies
- Identification of risks to the highly available data center operation, their recording in the Service Tool, and tracking until rectification
- Sales support – calculation of available DC capacities (space, power, climate) based on on-site conditions for the creation of offers in customer inquiries
- Ensuring the quality and continuous updating of the documentation of the complete Technical Building Equipment (TGA) of the data center
- Taking over local EFK (qualified electrician) tasks for the data center and supporting the responsible VEFK.
- Planning, preparation, and execution of audits according to national and international standards and norms by internal and external auditors
- Preparation and execution of DC visitor tours for internal and external customers
- Planning, consulting, and realization of moves
- Quality assurance – regular rounds through the site for visual inspection of the system statuses
Your Profile
The skills can be acquired through completed vocational training in an electrotechnical background in combination with several years of professional experience in the field of activity. In individual cases, the impact of the decisions to be made extends beyond one's own area of responsibility.
- Sound know-how: refrigeration and air conditioning technology, electrical engineering, building technology, security technology, business administration, controlling.
- Independent and responsible working in the various sub-areas.
- Very good English in spoken and written form.
