About the Position As an Engineer Backend T Cloud Public - Container, you will play a decisive role in designing and further developing our highly available and scalable container infrastructure within the T Cloud Public. You will be significantly involved in the conception, implementation, and optimization of solutions using state-of-the-art technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker. Your expertise in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) is essential to establish automated deployment pipelines and ensure efficient software delivery. You will work with microservices architectures and REST APIs to develop and maintain high-performance and robust backend systems. A deep understanding of OpenStack as well as a strong focus on infrastructure automation and Network Services are key to managing and further developing our cloud platform. We expect proactive collaboration in agile development teams to continuously create added value and drive innovative solutions forward.

Your Tasks As an engineer, you understand the latest developments in the fields of cloud and container technologies. You develop and expand our T Cloud Public platform with a customer-oriented approach. You want to:

  • Solve complex problems in the daily operation of a hyperscaler cloud backend.
  • Work close to the hardware at the console and contribute practically.
  • Develop and operate monitoring and quality assurance.
  • Implement consistent automation using common automation frameworks.
  • Work in a team of specialists where everyone supports each other openly and trustfully.

Your Profile

  • Completed studies in a technical, engineering, or scientific field or comparable vocational training.
  • 5–7 years of professional experience in IT with a focus on modern cloud technologies.
  • Very good knowledge of Software-defined Networking, Routing, Firewalls, and physical networks.
  • Extensive knowledge in infrastructure automation.
  • Sound experience with Linux and network-related services.
  • High customer orientation.
  • Knowledge of agile development processes.
  • Ability to evaluate technical solutions and develop creative approaches.
  • Experience with OpenStack as well as programming experience in open-source projects are an advantage.
  • Fluent English skills, both written and spoken.
  • You will work within the European Union to meet our customers' requirements for data security and data protection.
