heavy equipment operator

*Job Summary* Company is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to manage multiple machines and perform daily activities. Knowledge and understanding of Automotive Recycling Industry (Scrap Yard) and previous work experience in this field is an asset.

*Duties*

• Heavy equipment operator for excavator's with thumb and attachments and mobile crane equipped with grapple + magnet
• Operate excavators, crane, loaders, and other heavy equipment efficiently and safely
• Must be physically fit to move quickly from machine - machine on uneven ground/ debris
• Must be used to a fast paced environment
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to meet project requirements
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues when necessary
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be on their feet the length of the day
• CAT Controls Only Available
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
• Maintain all safety standards
• Must be able to follow instructions
• Must arrive on time for daily shifts
• Must have reliable form of transportation

*Experience*

• 2 Years experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator is preferred
• Prior experience in commercial driving and heavy equipment operation
• Proficiency in operating equipment - Caterpillar machinery, cranes, and other construction vehicles - CAT Controls ONLY
• Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to heavy equipment operation
• Strong mechanical knowledge to handle basic repairs and maintenance tasks on equipment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.00 per hour
