Senior Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities

1. Cost Management & Estimation

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and cost plans from project drawings and specifications.
• Conduct cost analysis, value engineering, and life-cycle cost analysis to optimize project budgets.
• Monitor and control project costs, track expenditures against budget, and prepare regular financial reports and cash flow forecasts.

1. Contract Administration & Procurement

• Administer contracts with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Manage the procurement process, including sourcing and evaluating quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare, negotiate, and finalize subcontract agreements.
• Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders (VOs), and final accounts.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the Singapore construction industry, with proven experience on local projects.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Proficiency in quantity take-off, cost estimation software, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Ability to interpret and verify quantities from drawings.
• Familiarity with local & overseas procurement and contractual practices.
• Prior experience with facade systems, curtain walls, cladding, glazing, or architectural metalworks is a strong plus.

• Possess excellent numeracy, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Must be a strong team player with initiative, who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
• Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure.
