Major duties

Serve as a senior IT cybersecurity specialist responsible for advancing the DHS Intelligence Enterprise cybersecurity posture by applying security engineering best practices across IT networks, systems, applications, and multi-cloud environments. Provide expert guidance on Zero Trust, AI/ML, cloud security, risk management, security automation, and cybersecurity tools while collaborating with technical teams and advising leadership on security risks, requirements, and strategic improvements.

Qualifications

Qualifications required: Knowledge of the laws, policies, and regulations of the Information Security/Cybersecurity field such as ICD 503, FISMA Act 2014, NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Knowledge of Cloud Architecture, Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Security engineering concepts. Knowledge of security engineering industry best practices, methods, principles, and techniques.Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) - DevSecOps techniques. Knowledge of Zero Trust, Artificial Intelligence, and Cloud Security engineering practices. Knowledge and demonstrated experience in using various cybersecurity techniques, methods, and procedures for assessing the security posture of systems, networks, and data under the authority of the CIO office.
