Field Engineer Automation

We are looking for a Field Engineer who wants to take a leading role in various challenging projects at manufacturers worldwide. You will join an innovative machine builder that designs and builds unique automated test installations. You will be part of a diverse team of engineers and technically driven machine builders. You will start with an immediate permanent contract with the employer.

What will you do?

• As a Field Engineer, you will work both from the headquarters where the systems are developed, and on-site at the customer where the systems are adjusted, tested, and commissioned.
• You are responsible for the commissioning of various systems in terms of automation, controllers and software, electromechanics,...
• You subject the system to various functional tests to ensure that the operation of the installation is adjusted as finely as possible.
• You provide guidelines to the team of machine builders and mechanics to help build and adjust the installation.
• You perform various technical checks, quality and reliability tests on the results and performance of the installation.
• You communicate with various engineering teams regarding the limitations and optimization of the systems.
• You assist in the education and training of the engineering and maintenance teams at the end customer.
• You have a Bachelor or Master's degree in Electromechanics, Automation or Electrical Engineering, or you are equivalent through relevant experience.
• You are primarily a technical generalist with strong practical knowledge of automation technologies, programming languages and IT systems.
• In addition to your technical analytical insight, you also have good practical insight into mechanics, electromechanics, electricity and pneumatics.
• You work independently, are proactive in solving problems and issues, and have a sharp eye for quality and details.
• You are communicative and can work well in a team.
• You can express yourself in English; other languages such as French or German are a strong plus.
• You are willing to work abroad up to 50% of your time - and earn great bonuses.
