JAPANESE Proficiency - Managing Director

The Managing Director will oversee the company’s business and operations in Singapore, providing strategic leadership and driving business growth. The role will involve managing key client relationships, developing new business opportunities, overseeing the projects and services, and coordinating closely with the Japan headquarters and regional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business strategies for the Singapore IT business.
• Lead and manage the Singapore office and IT-related operations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Japanese and Singapore-based clients.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the company’s IT services.
• Oversee IT projects, service delivery, budgets, and operational performance.
• Manage and develop local and Japanese staff.
• Coordinate with Japan headquarters on business planning, reporting, and group initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Represent the company at meetings with clients, business partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Strong experience in IT management, business development, or technology consulting.
• Management experience in a senior leadership position.

Japanese & English Language Skills

Must read, write and speak Japanese at a high level (native / JLPT N1 or higher) to engage with our Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders. Must speak English at a high level (business English) to communicate with team members from diverse cultural backgrounds.

• Experience working with Japanese companies or Japan headquarters is preferred.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
