CNC Maintenance Assistant Manager

Position Objective: Guarantee the reliability, availability, and optimal performance of CNC machines, machining centers, and auxiliary equipment, as well as support the maintenance of plastic injection machinery, through the planning, coordination, and monitoring of maintenance activities, contributing to the fulfillment of the organization's safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery objectives.

Your tasks

• Maintain the availability of CNC machines, machining centers, and critical production equipment above the established goal.
• Reduce recurring failures and unscheduled downtime in CNC and machining machinery.
• Increase compliance with preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Optimize maintenance costs.
• Develop personnel and strengthen the culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the fulfillment of production, quality, and customer delivery objectives.

Requirements

• Engineering (IME, Mechanical, Electrical, or related) Advanced English. +5 years of experience leading a maintenance team. Experience leading teams of engineers. Experience in maintenance of CNC machines and machining centers; High capacity for leadership, decision-making, and working under pressure.

Skills

• Have a strong sense of responsibility in operation. Be able to lead in critical situations. Generate measurable and sustainable results. Work transversally with multiple areas. Adaptability.

Technical competencies and skills

• Maintenance and fault diagnosis in CNC machines and machining centers.
• Knowledge of precision machining processes: turning, milling, and drilling.
• CNC controls: FANUC, Mitsubishi, or other equivalents.
• Diagnosis of alarms and faults in CNC controls.
• Spindle systems, axes, linear guides, and ball screws.
• Servomotors, servodrives, encoders, and positioning systems.
• Lubrication, cooling, and cutting fluid management systems.
• Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems of machining machines.
• TPM.
• Reliability Analysis.
• MTBF and MTTR.
• RCA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, and A3.
• PLC Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, or Omron.
• HMI and SCADA.
• Frequency inverters.
• Industrial networks Ethernet/IP and Profinet.
• Industrial electricity.
• Pneumatics.
• Hydraulics.
• Interpretation of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams.
