Role Overview

In your role as an Accounting and Reporting Advisory (ARA) Assistant Manager/Manager, you will participate in client proposals and oversee day-to-day operations of engagements. You will closely work with the team to tackle accounting, reporting, and operational issues. You will leverage your various skillsets to be an agile contributor to the practice, and you will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas:

Key Responsibilities

Provide exceptional and timely client service, deliver high quality work, and foster lasting client relationships.

Possess solid knowledge of IFRS and conduct in-depth research on complex matters, applying critical thinking to provide clients with robust solutions.

Actively contribute to the delivery of accounting advisory projects through performing research around:

Complex accounting advice on abnormal transactions or acquisitions in accordance with IFRS.

Financial statements and accounting policies review.

IFRS impact assessment.

Coordinate closely with engagement managers to assist in the execution of account strategies.

Engage in discussions with engagement managers to share insights on prospective client needs based on research on the client's background and current industry trends.

Ensure clients' successful delivery of service offerings by supporting the planning and execution of various projects.

Build and maintain productive, positive, and professional relationships with client staff and colleagues.

Assist clients with internal controls related matters, including design, implementation, testing, and remediation.

Demonstrate ability to apply AI in an audit context to improve efficiency and quality (e.g., relevant use cases), including prompt engineering fundamentals and structured problem-solving.

Exercise professional scepticism when using AI-generated outputs—validate accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness before use in audit documentation/workpapers.

Understand responsible AI expectations in professional services, including governance/risk considerations, confidentiality and data integrity, and use of firm-approved AI tools (including Deloitte-specific tools where applicable).

Qualifications

Degree in Accounting or related field.

5+ years of experience in public auditing and accounting, preferably with one of the Big Four.

Experience working on technical accounting advisory engagements is desired.

Experience of report writing is desired.

Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.

International accounting qualification is desired: CA, ACCA, or CPA. Preferably CA.

Fluent in English (reading, speaking, and writing). Preference will be given to bilingual candidates (Arabic/English).
