Job Description:

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Pastry Chef to join our team at our Italian and Portuguese bakery in Brampton. In this role, you?ll focus on creating a wide range of traditional pastries and sweets?from rich custard tarts and flaky croissants to specialty cakes and seasonal desserts. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with a passion for European pastry, creativity, and pride in their craft.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and sweets, with a focus on Italian and Portuguese traditions
  • Produce high-quality items such as pastéis de nata, biscoitos, cannoli, tarts, and seasonal specialties
  • Decorate and finish pastries with attention to detail and consistency
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary pastry area
  • Follow recipes while also contributing ideas for new offerings
  • Manage prep lists and daily production volumes to meet demand
  • Ensure all items are prepared in a timely manner for opening and service

Requirements:

  • 1?2 years of experience as a pastry chef or baker specializing in pastries (preferred)
  • Familiarity with traditional Portuguese and Italian pastry is a strong asset
  • Knowledge of doughs, fillings, custards, and finishing techniques
  • Strong attention to detail, consistency, and quality
  • Ability to follow recipes and production schedules
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Availability for early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills

We will provide training!

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
