Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Bread Baker to join our team at our Italian and Portuguese bakery in Brampton. This role focuses exclusively on crafting a variety of traditional breads, from crusty Italian loaves to soft Portuguese rolls. You?ll be responsible for mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking high-quality breads that our customers know and love.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare a variety of breads from scratch daily, including Italian, Portuguese, and other traditional styles
• Mix doughs using commercial mixers and manage fermentation times
• Shape, proof, and bake breads to meet quality and consistency standards
• Monitor oven temperatures and baking times for optimal results
• Maintain cleanliness of the baking area and ensure proper food safety practices
• Assist with inventory, prep lists, and minimizing waste
• Work collaboratively with the team to meet daily production goals

Requirements:

• Minimum 1?2 years of professional bread baking experience (preferred)
• Strong understanding of fermentation, dough handling, and baking techniques
• Familiarity with Italian and Portuguese bread styles is a strong asset
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Physically able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods
• Attention to detail, time management, and a passion for traditional baking
• Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude

We will provide training for this position!

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
