We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer Backend to join our team. Core Services is responsible for building and operating fundamental services for the PedidosYa platform. We work on multiple services that are part of central operational flows, such as orders, products, and authentication. You will have the opportunity to work on Tier 1 services and distributed systems that are part of PedidosYa's central flows, participating in the construction of new capabilities and the evolution of existing systems. If you enjoy solving complex problems, taking end-to-end ownership, and generating impact beyond your own service, this could be a great challenge for you. What challenges await you? Take end-to-end ownership of complex technical initiatives, from understanding the problem and initial research to design, implementation, deployment, and post-production follow-up.

Investigate and resolve complex problems using data, logs, metrics, traces, and code analysis to identify root causes.

Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and architecture decisions, clearly communicating the trade-offs involved.

Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to identify dependencies, unblock problems, and generate value pragmatically.

Communicate clearly and concisely the status of initiatives, risks, blockers, and relevant decisions.

Solid experience developing backend services in Golang. Knowledge in Kotlin or Java is valued.

Experience working with distributed architectures and microservices.

Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, understanding the trade-offs of each alternative.

Experience in observability (logging, metrics, alerts, traces, and monitoring with Grafana or similar).

We strongly value if you have knowledge in Cloud platforms (AWS) and container management (Docker and Kubernetes).

Ability to act with autonomy in ambiguous contexts, structure problems, and carry initiatives through to resolution without requiring constant supervision.
