TU Delft is looking for a talented postdoctoral researcher with expertise in quantum lattice Boltzmann methods or quantum lattice gas automata.

Job description

The QCFD Lab at TU Delft is at the forefront of developing quantum lattice Boltzmann methods in close collaboration with leading industry partners in quantum computation and from the aerospace sector. As we expand, we are looking for a motivated and talented postdoctoral researcher to strengthen our team. We expect candidates to have demonstrated expertise in the development of quantum lattice Boltzmann methods or quantum lattice gas automata and their theoretical analysis. You will develop and implement quantum circuits, evaluate them on quantum computing simulators and possibly hardware devices, and perform performance analyses and resource estimations.

We believe in end-to-end solutions with practical advantage for real-world applications. If you decide to join the team, we expect you to fully dedicate to this mindset and contribute to advancing the state of the art of quantum CFD.

Job requirements

We expect you to hold a PhD degree (or be close to completing it) in applied mathematics or another computational science discipline and to have a proven track record in quantum lattice Boltzmann methods or quantum lattice gas automata, e.g., demonstrated through scientific publications or presentations. Experience with implementing quantum algorithms in Qiskit or other quantum programming frameworks is appreciated.

We furthermore expect you to be fluent in English both in speaking and writing and able to communicate both in academic and industrial environment.
