Senior Buyer

A dynamically growing industrial unit in Koropi is looking for a Senior Buyer to join the procurement team. This is a position where you will play a decisive role in managing the company's strategic purchases, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring the optimal cost-quality-delivery time ratio. The role reports to the Procurement Manager and the Supply Chain Director, contributing to the formulation of effective procurement solutions in accordance with the company's operational needs.

What your day will include You will undertake the management of purchases of raw materials, commodities, and services, developing and implementing strategies for your assigned spend categories. You will manage sourcing processes and tenders —market analysis, supplier evaluation and selection, negotiation of commercial terms— in collaboration with internal stakeholders and other departments (production, logistics, finance). Simultaneously, you will develop relationships with suppliers, monitoring their performance (KPIs) and analyzing spend and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities. You will also manage supplier contracts, ensure compliance with the company's procurement policies, and participate in improvement initiatives and cross-departmental projects.

Required Qualifications: ​

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a postgraduate degree or MBA will be considered an advantage
• At least 5 years of professional experience in the procurement field, part of which in a role of responsibility, preferably in the FMCG industry
• Good knowledge of an ERP system, experience in SAP will be particularly appreciated
• Experience in strategic procurement, Category Management, and end-to-end sourcing processes
• Proven experience in supplier management and internal stakeholder management
• Strong commercial acumen and developed negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken
