This is for FY 2027. This position is part of the Department of War, War Media Activity (WMA). The incumbent will be responsible for the interdepartmental coordination of broadcast programming through the traffic system, the creation of daily broadcast logs, command information (CI) placement, and the tracking, acquisition, and management of broadcast media.

Major duties

As a Supervisory Television Traffic Continuity Coordinator at the GS-1001-12 some of your typical work assignments may include: Works as supervisor for approximately 4-6 civilian employees performing Traffic and Media Management functions. Directs a highly specialized technical staff section performing broadcast traffic, continuity, and media management operations. Oversee the specialized media management workflow to support timely acquisition, ingestion, and cataloging of television assets. Plans and directs the daily work to be accomplished by subordinates, actively coordinating multi-shift operations and schedules to guarantee comprehensive, seven-day/weekend operational coverage. Ensures administrative and contract compliance protocols are followed for TV programming agreements. Reviews of contract processing metrics and coordinates with the agency Contract Office to verify technical delivery parameters are met.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: Administering and managing a computerized television traffic system, collaborating with system developers and IT staff to optimize database performance along with resolving system errors and managing personnel access levels. Serving as endpoint to resolve escalated issues; therefore, must have expertise with content file delivery and formatting in coordination with source distributors and internal engineering staff. Exercises expertise directing, coordinating, and overseeing all day-to-day Traffic and continuity operations to generate accurate daily broadcast logs and automation playlists across multiple global channels. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
