Publishing and Media Designer (Content Designer) NF-04
This position is located at Stars and Stripes Europe, Kaiserslautern, Germany. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
Major duties
- Serves as the Publishing and Media Design (PMD) Content Producer / Designer for Stars and Stripes. Specializes in the production of print and digital media business products.
- Responsible for effectively communicating the evolution and benefits of Stars and Stripes business products to the military and civilian communities.
- Manages and delivers business and media collateral to Stars and Stripes audiences and the military community. Provides hands-on knowledge in print and digital media, content development and production.
- Works closely with Revenue, Editorial, Member Services, Production and Interactive Media to provide execution and delivery of print and digital media projects.
- Edits, produces and writes video, audio and print copy that crosses all platforms (print, web, digital platforms, newsletters, social media) in brand voice, based on creative briefs, supplied material and project objectives.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following: One (1) year of specialized work experience directly related to the duties of a Publishing and Media Designer? Such duties could include: production of print and digital media business products; edit, produce and write video, audio and print copy that crosses all platforms (print, web, digital platforms, newsletters, social media); prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline driven environment; manage daily and weekly production, newsletters, and social media updates; etc. Working knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft products. Can manage multiple concurrent projects effectively. Can work under pressure. Strong project management and time management skills. Strong organization skills. The ability to work in a team environment. Will have excellent presentation skills. Will have excellent communication (written and verbal) skills. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess a four year degree with a major emphasis in communication arts, visual communication, interactive journalism or emergent media. Will have the ability to evaluate website metrics to identify trends and content strategies. Possess experience in the Adobe Creative Suite and Google Analytics.
