Major duties
- Prepares overall organizational layout packages and submits to customer.
- Prepares and coordinates all work orders and serves as project officer until project is complete.
- Space analysis includes telephone requirements, ADP cabling, electrical availability, and time frames for work completion.
- Conducts space analysis and equipment utilization studies to resolve problems in workflow, internal controls, reorganizations, and/or cost.
- Evaluates and assesses the records management program for the office to ensure that all actions are in accordance with published guidelines.
- Monitors the use of forms within the office for compliance with directives, policies, and efficient operations.
- Duties will be developmental in nature when the position is filled below the full performance level.
Qualifications
Human Resources will determine your qualifications for each entry grade level based on your interest and the additional following criteria. Combinations of education and experience may also be sufficient. To be hired at the GS-6 entry grade level, applicants must minimally have: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of a (GS-05 for the GS-06) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized Experience For The GS-06 Is Defined As: Providing administrative, technical and office automation support duties in support of the supervisor and office staff performing duties such as preparing correspondence; providing support and assistance on security and/or safety programs; assisting staff with access to appropriate systems; utilizing office automation to create, retrieve, update, manipulate and store electronic data; or preparing, editing and formatting documents and reports. To be hired at the GS-7 entry grade level, applicants must minimally have: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of a (GS-06 for the GS-07) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized Experience For The GS-07 Is Defined As: (1) Conducting space analysis and equipment utilization studies to resolve problems in workflow, internal controls, reorganizations, and/or cost; AND (2) Preparing overall organizational layout packages and submits to customer; AND (3) Preparing and coordinating all work orders and serving as project officer until project is complete. You may qualify for consideration if meeting specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR GS-06 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Six months of graduate education may be substituted to meet the specialized experience required when it is directly related to the work of the position being filled. If you are using education to substitute for the specialized experience, you must submit transcripts at the time you apply. To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (http://www2.ed.gov/admins/finaid/accred/index.html). SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR GS-07 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One full year of graduate level education may be substituted to meet the specialized experience required when it is directly related to the work of the position being filled. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
