Project Engineer
Job Scope
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the installation, replacement, testing, and commissioning of cooling towers, chillers, AHU systems, and associated piping works.
- Prepare project schedules, work plans, method statements, and ensure projects are completed within the required timeline and specifications.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress, manpower, materials, equipment, and site activities to ensure efficient completion of works.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure all works comply with engineering requirements, quality standards, and EHS/workplace safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective engineering solutions during project execution.
- Manage and resolve customer queries, complaints, and site-related issues professionally and promptly.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements, and coordinate with relevant parties to resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare project documentation, progress reports, inspection records, and other necessary engineering documents.
- Monitor project costs and assist in ensuring works are completed within the approved budget.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, handover, and rectification works upon project completion.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Perform other project-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Report to Project Manager.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Good experience in HVAC, M&E, chiller, AHU, cooling tower, or piping projects will be an advantage.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently, under pressure, and manage multiple tasks.
- Resourceful, responsible, and self-motivated with a high level of integrity.
