Our 2nd life team is looking for a Frontend Tech Lead based in Lille.

Our Decathlon Second Life teams, composed of about 60 multi-skilled people (PM, back dev, front dev, mobile dev, QA), are responsible for designing and developing the solutions of tomorrow so that Decathlon can support our customers in more responsible consumption of certified & refurbished sporting goods (purchase and resale).

As a Senior Software Engineer Frontend, you will join the Web Experience team of our 2ndLife Buyback solutions.

YOUR FUTURE CONTRIBUTION

As a Senior Software Engineer Frontend, you will be integrated into one of our squads consisting of a Product Manager and Developers. Your role is to:

• Design Web applications and modules that provide seamless user experiences in compliance with current standards.
• Elaborate the technical roadmap of the products.
• Make technical and architectural choices that allow for the creation of modular, scalable applications with the capacity to scale up quickly.
• Guarantee compliance with and the proper evolution of best practices for both Engineering Excellence and Operational Excellence.
• Guarantee the security and resilience of the application.

• Continuous integration and deployment via github actions

WHAT YOU BRING

• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in developing large-scale Web applications (preferably in the Retail sector), in-depth knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architectures, and continuous deployment.
• You have a strong quality mindset (best practices, tests, genericity and reusability, documentation).
• You know how to be pragmatic and take a step back to judge the relevance of technical choices.
• You are able to support more junior developers and train them in best practices.
• You are able to popularize a technical subject to communicate with a wide audience, potentially less technical (leaders / executives).
• You are comfortable in English, both spoken and written.
• You have an agile mindset focused on continuous improvement and collective intelligence.
• You are passionate about technology and love to share and contribute.
• You are particularly sensitive to the impact of practicing sport for the values it has allowed you to acquire in your interpersonal skills and teamwork!
