Senior AI Platform Engineer - Data Factory (f/m/d) H/F

The Data Platform team is looking for a Senior AI Platform Engineer based in Lille/Paris.

At the heart of the Decathlon Digital entity, we are looking for a Senior AI Platform Engineer to join the Data Factory teams. This technological platform, global to the entire group internationally, supports the development of Data usage at Decathlon, from calculating revenue to designing innovative products.

We operate a cutting-edge Modern Data Stack, with a Lakehouse as its center of gravity. Our mission? To guarantee scalability, automation, and excellence in development practices for all our communities (Data Engineers, Analysts, Scientists).

Our AI / MLOPS team at the heart of the Data Factory is an essential component of this mission. It is responsible for providing tools to data scientists and ML engineers to successfully carry out their mission. Furthermore, it plays a central role in making LLM and agents available to our technical users.

YOUR FUTURE CONTRIBUTION

As a Senior AI Platform Engineer within the AI / ML squad, you will play a key role in providing tools to data scientists and ML engineers to help them succeed in their mission. Additionally, you will have a central role in making generative AI technologies available to our developers. The team consists of 4 Platform Engineers and 2 Product Managers.

You will be in charge of:

• Multi-Cloud Design & Architecture: Designing robust and custom AI architectures on AWS and GCP, being proactive in responding to the specific needs of our users.
• Industrialization & IaC: Driving the deployment, maintenance, and evolution of our AI infrastructures via Terraform, ensuring perfect consistency between our different Cloud environments.
• Automation & CI/CD: Optimizing our production cycles by orchestrating continuous deployment pipelines (CI/CD) via Git, thereby ensuring speed and reliability.
• Governance & Excellence: Defining the standards of tomorrow by creating guides, templates, and best practices, while ensuring strategic monitoring (AI & GenAI) to maintain our technological advantage.
• Expertise & Influence: Representing our solutions to technical and business teams, notably by hosting Office Hours and simplifying complex platform challenges.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Experience: You have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role (MLOps, ML engineer, OPS Engineer, Platform Engineer);
• Pedagogy and Service Mindset: You know how to support users with clarity, translate complex AI concepts into simple technical solutions, and write robust documentation;
• Curiosity: Technological monitoring is part of your DNA;
• Collaborative Spirit: You thrive in an agile environment where sharing is the rule;
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to unite people around your solutions. Your English is fluent to operate in our international context.
