Portfolio Manager - Digital Value Chain (f/m/d) H/F
Our Digital Value Chain PMO team is looking for a Digital Portfolio Manager based in the Lille region (Upline / Btwin Village). As Decathlon continues to develop its digital expertise, we are evolving towards a fully integrated Value Chain. Our vision is to design intelligent digital solutions for augmented user experiences, fueling an increasingly efficient Value Chain, in close partnership with our Business counterparts. As a Digital Portfolio Manager, you are the strategic orchestrator of two crucial perimeters: Industry & Production, and Supply & Material Planning. You are the guarantor of transparency, alignment, and efficient resource allocation across these domains, finding the right balance between business growth and our commitments regarding carbon footprint, human impact, and financial performance. You leverage portfolio value to drive organizational design, strategic capacity allocation, and proactive risk management. You report directly to the Digital Value Chain Lead PMO.
Your future impact
- Work in partnership with leaders to drive the Portfolio in line with Decathlon's strategic objectives.
- Manage needs analysis (intake), prioritization, and holistic sequencing of your portfolio's work, identifying necessary decisions and trade-offs to be made.
- Formulate comprehensive decision justifications, including impact assessments and potential trade-offs.
- Facilitate governance processes for decision-making, involving key stakeholders inside and outside your perimeter if necessary.
- Effectively communicate portfolio updates, rankings, and decisions to the entire organization using established routines and deliverables that you will maintain.
- Provide clear insights into the logic behind decisions to improve organizational understanding.
- In collaboration with Finance Controllers and Management teams, provide strong support to your perimeter throughout the annual budget cycle, from articulating budget needs to submission and allocation.
- Ensure regular and systematic forecasting and monitoring of resource allocation to optimize their use.
- Implement best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of portfolio management.
- Actively engage with the PMO community as a whole, providing constructive feedback, sharing best practices, and encouraging continuous improvement.
What you will bring
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project, program, or portfolio management.
- Experience in portfolio management.
- Program leadership experience – leading large-scale programs and guiding project managers.
- Strong skills in project and program management processes in Digital environments – experience working in large organizations with large-scale projects and programs.
- Excellent communication skills – ability to effectively convey key messages and actions at all levels of the organization, both written and oral.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills – experience working with complex stakeholder ecosystems and the ability to quickly establish trusting relationships across disciplines and hierarchies.
- Strategic thinking – ability to balance long-term vision with short- and medium-term objectives.
- Adaptability and resilience – ability and willingness to engage in a fast-paced international environment.
- Problem-solving skills – passion for creative problem-solving, the ability to "start small," "fail fast," and apply learnings.
