*Overview*

We're looking for an enthusiastic Architectural Technician to join our growing team! The Architectural Technician will work alongside other Architectural and Engineering Designers and draftspersons to help complete projects with a focus on design, graphic presentation and project management. The successful candidate for this position has a background in Architectural design, drafting and the Ontario Building Code.

*Duties*

  • Prepare drawings and diagrams for Homes, Cottages, Boathouses, Garages, etc. using computer-aided design (Revit & AutoCAD) software.
  • AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Google based products experience an asset.
  • Coordination and completion of project drawings with colleagues and clients.
  • Graphic translation of verbal and visual instructions into working drawings.
  • Execution and correction of reviewed redline mark-ups on hard copies in complex drawing compositions.
  • Completion of drafting assignments utilizing CAD and structural design software to complete plans, framing plans, sections, elevations, details and construction documents for review and approval.
  • Research and analyze local bylaws, building codes, and safety regulations to ensure the structure is legal and safe
  • Work collaboratively with team members and clients to align all building systems and ensure accuracy of work. Review project scope changes, update schedules, and adjust timelines as new work arises.
  • Maintain data in organizational systems and accurate record-keeping in the company tracking systems.
  • Skilled at utilizing technical tools and data-driven insights to inform decision-making. Commitment to high-quality and informed work, teamwork, communication, and project delivery.
  • Well developed analytical thinking, time management, team development, computer skills and research skills.

*Qualifications*

  • Training in drafting and designing using 2D and 3D software.
  • Proven experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills as well as analytical mindset is a must.
  • Residence within 50 km of office location.
  • ?G? class driver?s license is required.

*Education*

  • Architectural Technician Diploma (preferred)

*Schedule: *Full Time Monday to Friday

*Work Location: *In person - Port Carling, ON.

Ability to commute/relocate: *R*eliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
