Site Engineer

Bury St Edmunds Up to £40,000 per annum 40 hours (Monday to Friday)

DCS Engineering are currently supporting a leading infrastructure organisation with the recruitment of a Section Engineer to join a major civil engineering and infrastructure programme in Bury St Edmunds. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Section Engineer to take on increased responsibility across complex infrastructure works, supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of construction activities across multiple work fronts. The project includes significant civil engineering works covering substations, overhead line works, earthworks, roads, drainage and foundations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supporting the safe and successful delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure works.
• Undertaking setting out and engineering control across multiple work fronts.
• Coordinating site engineering activities and providing technical support to construction teams.
• Managing quality assurance processes, inspections and records.
• Producing and managing engineering documentation, reports and digital records.
• Supporting works involving earthworks, drainage, roads, structures, piling and substation infrastructure.
• Working closely with Senior Engineers, Section Managers and Project Management teams.
• Utilising modern construction technologies, engineering software and digital reporting systems.
• Promoting high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance.

The Candidate:

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer, Section Engineer or similar.
• Strong experience in setting out and engineering control.
• Experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, highways or major construction projects.
• A valid CSCS Card.
• A qualification in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive and collaborative approach.
• A full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience across earthworks, drainage, structures, roads, foundations, piling, power, utilities or substation projects
