Project Engineer (Electronics and Communication – Defense Projects)

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer with an Electronics and Communication Engineering background to support and deliver large-scale defense projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects end-to-end, from conceptualization through execution to final delivery,ensuring quality, compliance, and timely completion. KeyResponsibilities Project Lifecycle Management Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, implementation, testing, and delivery Support project planning, scheduling, and execution to meet technical and contractual requirements Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are achieved on time and within scope Technical & Engineering Activities Review and contribute to system design, specifications, and engineering documentation Ensure all engineering solutions comply with relevant standards, safety requirements, and defense regulations Provide technical support and resolve engineering issues throughout the project lifecycle Subcontractor & Stakeholder Management Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers Ensure subcontractors deliver according to agreed technical specifications, timelines, and quality standards Act as a key liaison between internal teams, customers, and external partners Documentation & Reporting Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including: Technical specifications Design documents Test procedures and reports Progress and status reports

Ensure all deliverables are properly documented and meet contractual requirements Testing & Acceptance Plan, coordinate, and carry out Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) Validate system performance against requirements and ensure compliance Support customer acceptance and certification processes Delivery & Implementation Oversee system integration, installation, and commissioning activities Ensure successful handover and delivery of projects to customers Address post-delivery issues and support final project closure Requirements Education Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related discipline Experience Experience in large-scale defense or complex engineering projects Proven track record in managing projects across full lifecycle phases Experience working with subcontractors and cross-functional teams Technical Skills Strong understanding of communication systems and engineering principles Knowledge in the following topics, Ø  Satellite communications Ø  Microwave communications Ø  Mesh networking Ø  TCP/IP Ø  Routing protocols Ø  VLAN architecture Ø  QoS management Ø  Network security Ø  Voice over IP Ø  Frequency hopping Ø  Encryption Ø  Interoperability gateways Familiarity with system integration, testing, and validation processes Knowledge of Military Standards, compliance, and quality requirements is an advantage Soft Skills Strong project management and organizational skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Ability to work independently and in a team environment under tight deadlines Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills Key Competencies End-to-end project ownership Technical leadership Risk management and problem-solving Quality and compliance focus Singaporeans ONLY Working Location : Central We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
