Senior Cloud Architect

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Architect for a long-term engagement supporting the Core Technology Architecture and Engineering organization. The role will focus on designing resilient, scalable and cost-efficient cloud and hybrid platforms , supporting large-scale technology modernization initiatives and ongoing on-premises to cloud migrations . The ideal candidate has strong experience working in large enterprise environments, preferably within the financial sector, and has designed complex hybrid architectures combining multiple cloud providers and on-premises infrastructure .

Daily tasks

• Design scalable, resilient and cost-efficient cloud and hybrid architectures
• Define architecture for complex cross-cloud and on-premises environments
• Support and guide large-scale cloud migration and modernization initiatives
• Develop architecture patterns, standards and technical guidelines for cloud platforms
• Ensure solutions meet requirements related to security, availability, scalability, resilience and cost optimization
• Work closely with engineering, infrastructure, security and architecture teams
• Provide architectural guidance throughout the solution lifecycle, from design through implementation
• Support the adoption of Infrastructure as Code, automation, DevOps and GitOps practices

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in cloud architecture, including work as a Cloud Architect / Enterprise Cloud Architect in large-scale enterprise environments Proven experience designing hybrid architectures combining on-premises infrastructure and at least two cloud providers Expert-level knowledge of the architecture and services of at least one major cloud platform: Azure, GCP or AWS Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, governance, resilience, disaster recovery and FinOps Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform and/or cloud-native IaC solutions Experience designing highly available, resilient and disaster recovery architectures Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, GitOps, cloud operations and SRE principles Experience supporting large-scale cloud migration and modernization programs Experience within the financial sector or another highly regulated enterprise environment would be highly advantageous Fluency in English (both written and spoken) Nice to have: Experience designing advanced cloud-based AI platforms using solutions such as GPT, Claude or Gemini to support complex business processes and use cases
