Job Summary

You will support and enhance plant operations by troubleshooting processes, driving improvements, and managing projects to increase reliability and capacity while ensuring safety and quality compliance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot process issues and implement improvements to enhance plant reliability and increase capacity
• Coordinate and actively participate in HAZOP studies to ensure process safety compliance within the plant
• Develop detailed process improvement proposals for project planning, implementation, and execution
• Conduct plant trials to validate process improvements and qualify raw materials for production
• Initiate, plan, and manage capital projects to support operational enhancements
• Perform basic process engineering design tasks to support plant operations and projects
• Monitor process trends and product quality data to ensure consistent product quality and conformance

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering
• Up to 10 years of relevant work experience in refinery, petrochemical, or chemical industries
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with all staff levels and cross-functional teams
• Proficient knowledge of process design and engineering principles
• Familiarity with ASME and API codes and standards
• Knowledge and application of HAZOP, Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and engineering tools
