The position:

As part of a technical assistance project, we are looking for a metallic materials engineer for one of our clients in the aeronautics sector. You will work at the client site located near Pau (64).

In this capacity, your daily missions will be as follows:

  • Write and update technical materials and processes specifications in accordance with client needs;
  • Establish evolution notices and analyze technical impacts related to changes in standards;
  • Prepare and lead materials commissions with various stakeholders;
  • Analyze Material Response Requests and propose suitable treatment strategies;
  • Conduct bibliographic and technical research to support responses to DRM;
  • Manage materials testing campaigns, ensure their follow-up, and exploit the results obtained;
  • Construct and interpret materials characterization curves and data;
  • Ensure REACH regulatory monitoring and evaluate the impact of regulatory changes on products and processes;
  • Participate in the qualification, renewal, and monitoring of special processes with suppliers;
  • Contribute to the definition of technical mandates and support communication and coordination actions with internal and external stakeholders.

Profile sought:

  • Engineer by training, you have a first experience in metallic materials;
  • You also have experience in the aeronautics, space, or defense sector;
  • You have skills in writing technical documents, specifications, and cahiers des charges;
  • You have good knowledge of materials characterization and testing methods;
  • Proficiency in technical English is required for this project.
