Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day production of maggots. Prepare and maintain suitable substrates for maggot production. Monitor the production environment and breeding conditions. Maintain hygiene throughout the production process. Monitor the growth and development of maggots. Harvest and process maggots according to farm procedures. Maintain production records. Ensure proper handling and storage of production materials. Monitor production output and identify issues affecting yield. Follow farm hygiene, safety, and biosecurity procedures. Support continuous improvement of the maggot production process.

Requirements:

Practical knowledge of maggot production. Minimum qualification: OND in any of the following: Animal Nutrition, Animal Production & Health, and Microbiology. Understanding of biological production processes. Good hygiene and sanitation practices. Ability to monitor production cycles. Attention to detail. Good record-keeping ability. Ability to work in a farm production environment. Good teamwork and communication skills. Willingness to learn and follow established production procedures. Previous practical experience in maggot production is required. Candidates with practical experience in insect-based animal feed production will be an advantage.
