Video Editor

Responsibilities:

Edit high-quality short-form and long-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other digital platforms.

Create engaging cuts, transitions, motion graphics, captions, and visual effects that enhance storytelling.

Perform colour correction, audio balancing, and basic sound design to deliver polished content.

Collaborate with the content strategy and production teams to bring creative concepts to life.

Organise and manage project files, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery.

Stay up to date with current editing trends, platform best practices, and emerging content styles.

Ensure all videos meet brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity.

Revise edits based on feedback while meeting project deadlines.

Requirements:

Minimum of a BSC.

Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Video Editor.

Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects is an added advantage.

Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, composition, and visual aesthetics.

Experience editing content for social media platforms, particularly Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

Basic knowledge of colour grading, audio editing, and motion graphics.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills.

A strong portfolio showcasing previous editing work is required. Experience with sound design and music synchronization.

Familiarity with AI-powered editing tools and creative workflows.

Understanding of social media content performance and audience retention techniques.
