A security institution requires a Components Engineer in Manufacturing Engineering

The role includes:

• Identifying available alternatives, handling "obsolete" components, working jointly with development and engineering disciplines to approve new components, ensuring component availability and reliability throughout the life cycle, and providing support and guidance to the BOM regarding components.
• Identifying high-quality and available alternatives for shortage, EOL, or NRND components – Datasheet analysis, electrical/mechanical/thermal matching, and technical validation.
• Checking availability and market status: stocks, lead times, life cycle, alternative manufacturers, shortage risk analysis.
• Handling "obsolete" components: early identification of at-risk components, building a replacement plan to maintain operational continuity, creating an alternative AVL, routine work with engineering teams to approve new components, preparing technical analysis, and leading ECO/AVL and Qualification processes.
• Working with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain technical information, PCN/PDN, regulatory documentation, and supporting tests.
• Updating the component library in PLM/ERP systems and maintaining an accurate and continuous BOM.
• Responding to production questions/faults in the BOM.

BSc Electrical and Electronics - Mandatory

• At least two years of previous experience in a similar role in the electronics field - Mandatory
• Proven knowledge in component analysis and comparison (Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal).
• Experience working with Datasheets, AVL, BOM, ECO.
• Familiarity with availability and alternative tools (Octopart, SiliconExpert, IHS/BOM Intelligence).
• Experience working closely with development, quality, and NPI teams.
• High-level technical English.

Advantages -

• Familiarity with IPC, JEDEC, RoHS/REACH, MIL-STD standards – experience in HALT/HASS, Stress, QA/FA reliability testing.
• Knowledge of advanced component reclamation processes, Re-Plating, BGA Re-Balling; experience in a wide spectrum of Passive, Active, PMIC, Connectors, RF, and Sensors components.
• Experience with EMS/CM and manufacturing environments.
